You can do a silent install of Maps for Office to all computers in a company. It would be great to be able to specify custom location types during this automated install. For instance, organizations want to use a specific Region web service as a location type. This Region web service will be used by staff to "join" excel files to the map service. It is time consuming and a bit confusing to ask each employee to add the custom location type.
