Being able to symbolize on more than 3 attributes would be a huge improvement. For people who work with complex symbologies 3 fields can be a major limitation that impacts the way users view and percieve data.

Potentially easier, certainly more flexible, would be to allow symbolize based on logical statement
So you could simply have -
fieldA & fieldB & fieldC & fieldd
iif(fielda.100,"over","under") & fieldb & iif(fieldc<0,"negative","positive")
Type of thing - this way you could build up some complex logic to return exactly what you require.

Yes, I think this is related to another idea post that symbology should allow the definition of the SQL for each symbol, much the way that label classes can be set up.
