I don't understand why ESRI would not provide the capability to connect to Access databases in ArcGIS Pro. ESRI should understand that many users who are not part of a large organization with a database manager are likely using Microsoft Access to store attribute data required for analysis, and that ArcGIS PRO should certainly provide a way to connecting to it. The OLE DB connections in ArcGIS works just fine.
In the past I downloaded SQLServer 2008 R2, and transferred Access tables and views based on queries into it. It worked pretty well. I was thinking I could do the same thing with this computer, but apparently Windows 10 does not support SQL Server 2008 R2. I’m hoping there is something similar available through Microsoft. I would hate to need to make the investment in SQL Server, just so I can learn how to work with databases in PRO.
ESRI should certainly provide connection to Access .accdb databases.
This is a Duplicate of Microsoft Access (.accdb) Support in ArcGIS Pro. Please visit that idea to vote and comment.
