The new ability to cross-filter across cards is great. However, it would be nice to control which filters do get transmitted in the cross-filter.
For example, imagine I have two cards A & B. I would like for any interactive selections made by the user on Card A to be transmitted via cross-filter to Card B. That works as expected, but what if I had some background filters set up on Card A that I did not want transmitted? There is no way to say "Only transmit the interactive selection, not background filters" in Insights.
This type of operation is possible in other dataviz software, such as Triggers in Tableau or Set Expressions in Qlik.
