Most transportation agencies as well as many other linear asset users (e.g. water/wastewater, pipeline. etc) rely on linear referencing for data collection, analysis and visualization. Providing access to data in Maps for Office would allow users to do analysis locally for ad-hoc queries, reports, and presentations. Smaller datasets could potentially be managed in Excel and then shared.
