In the Public Notification Widget, it would be great if the generated CSV output could include the field names. Right now the user is provided with a block of CSV values with no idea of what each column represents.
This absolutely is a must have for this widget functionality .
Also, at the moment its the same attribute that you have configured that would be your labels in pdf and your csv.
It would be very beneficial If you had choice for what fields you could see in CSV vs a Label. Right now its the same attribute configuration you have in the pop-up.
Here is a use case for Address Notification Information
For staff to send out mail , i would want Labels that use First Name,Last name,Address and Phone Number
For staff to generate a report, as a csv I would want to see its tax roll, land title information, owner information info etc.
I agree with all previous responses. We are trying to migrate our users to use web apps instead of desktop. This was one of the first limitations our users found with this widget. So please count me in as voting for this idea, please include column names in the csv output.
I agree this seems to be needed. I have tried creating a popup to get this to work but if I add field headings they get merged with the values in the output CSV (e.g. Name: John Doe, Site Address: 1234 Someplace St, etc.). Without the field headings and just the values in the popup the user won't know what the fields represent. If someone knows a way to configure the popup to get this to come out like a normal table from the notification tool that would be good to know.
