Insights: Selection in shared pages

Use case: We can build really useful pages for analyzing crash data in support of Vision Zero, but some analytics are related to summarizing / visualizing crash point data in complex intersections where its necessary to lasso select a cluster of points to drive the associated cards.

Right now, sharing these types of pages is moot because the shared page does not include the lasso / box select tools.

Thank you for providing this Idea and use case here! The current way to accomplish something like this would be to create a new data set from the selected features.

Selections are designed to be a temporary workflow for targeting areas of interest within the map, but if pre-determined selection areas should be shared and focused on, then saving them as a new data set would be beneficial. The new data set can then added into the map as a second layer, and the map can be shared and analyzed.
