In ArcGIS Pro, allow the identify window to be dockable
I have something VERY similar going on in ArcGIS 10.5:
Once I identify a point, I would like to zoom into the point automatically, and once I do, have the Identify window dock to a position on the monitor so that I can actually SEE what it is I am identifying, instead of having to move it from being on top of the feature.
Another thing I'd like to do is customize the Identify window so that X amount of attributes for a layer are in one "field" and the other set of attributes are in the next "field" over. This would be similar to the Fields tab in the Properties for any layer
If there is a way to attach my illustrations to show what it is I am referring to I would love to hear it.
Pop-ups are dockable with the release of Pro 2.2 (coming very soon). And the "identify" experience will be much improved as part of that project.
All well and good but I don’t use Pro. (I have had classes that use it but I don’t know if I will be getting the newer version—maybe I should ask if I can upgrade to the new one for free?)
The even bigger issue is that in the dbf (Data Window) there is a great lack of options for editing the tables. Why aren’t MS Excel or MS Access types of functionalities for editing data if we edit data?
And again. And again. After all these years of identifying data, why is it there is an empty block next to the list of attributes? It doesn’t make sense.

Daniel, this idea is called "In ArcGIS Pro, allow the identify window to be dockable"
I was sharing that this will be implemented in ArcGIS Pro 2.2.
If you have ArcGIS Desktop licenses, you have ArcGIS Pro. You just need to install it and have your ArcGIS Online administrator provision you a Named User license, or they can convert one to Single Use or Concurrent Use.

Please. I do not use Pro. At All.
This is an ArcGIS issue and nothing but. It has been going on for years, all the way back to ArcVIEW!!!!
Why this hasn’t been dealt with is insane.
If ArcGIS Pro could do what I need it to do for very specific types of procedures then maybe I’d give it a try but for now its not a part of my work flow.
