KML/KMZ format is a defacto standard outside the professional world of GIS. The transfer of spatial information occurs daily in many organizations using KML/KMZ. The suggestion is to add KML format to the native "Add Data" in ArcGIS and ArcGIS Pro.
This would eliminate the multi-step import process to SHAPE or Feature class when simply wanting to view a KML. Today most users have Google Earth for viewing KML/KMZ formats.
