In ArcMap one can right click on an attribute and freeze the column. I noticed that ArcPro does not have this functionality.
This would be very helpful. I work with parcel data all the time, and I almost always want to see the APN, or the owner. But when there's 30+ fields, scrolling back and forth can make this difficult.
When you're editing in the attribute table, and edits to one attribute at the "left" end of your table requires you to scroll all the way over to the "right" to see another value (that will drive your edit) is an extremely slow editing workflow. This exists in Arc (and Excel!).
Agreed. This is a seemingly simple but very useful feature. I'm surprised that it doesn't seem to exist in Pro yet - seems like a no-brainer.
Agree. Especially when you have too many attributes and scroll back and forth to find the one that you need.
Any updates on this? Are we going to see this functionality in the next release?
Would the Hide field in Pro help with no Freeze column functionality?
Only very slightly. The issue this Idea would solve is when you have one identifying column, say Owner Name, and you want to work with columns throughout the table. Just hiding all the columns you don't need can be cumbersome, especially if you might need those again later. And also you might need more columns than is visible on the table at the same time.
