It would be great if the Web AppBuilder widget "Group Filter" included the possibility of automatic zoom to selected features.
With the September 2016 release of ArcGIS Online, the Group Filter widget now includes the "Zoom to" configuration parameter that zooms the map to the extent of the filtered data.
Thanks Clare, I'm happy to hear that.
This is available with Web AppBuilder Developer Edition 2.2 (current release)
I just found out!. Thanks!
Hi Clare - Have you used "Zoom to" option. I am trying to make it working but failed. I tried all available combination of options and still couldn't find a solution. Please note I am using Web AppBuilder 2.2. It filters the data but doesn't zoom to filtered data. Any advice is highly appreciated.
I have used the Zoom to option with the group filter widget without issue by checking the Zoom To option in the configuraiton panel. Additional information on configuring the widget and the configuration parameters can be found here: Group Filter widget—Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS (Developer Edition) | ArcGIS for Developers
Unfortunately we couldn't make it working from ArcGIS Server Service. Finally we managed to make it working with a hosted feature layer which is not great though. Please note we have had discussion with ESRI support team and understood it is a bug but suggestions is to install ArcGIS 10.5. We are using ArcGIS 10.3.1.
We are intended to do group filter with "zoom to" facility from a ArcGIS Service in ArcGIS Online web map application.
Is the zoom to something that is planned to be available in the Filter widget or just the group filter.
In the recent ArcGIS Online December 2017 update, the embedded Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS' Filter widget now includes options to zoom to the features automatically when the filter is applied.
Hope this helps,
Trying to use the zoom to "Selected feature" not the whole layer..... Seems to want to zoom to the whole layer and not the one selected in the set up filter.
Filter is set to unique for a drop down list. They are food trucks and the idea is that they would select which one they want to go to and then it would take them visually on the map to it but instead ir zooms out to the extents of the layer.
