Create and own groups that allow members to update all items in the group. This is in the July update for Admins. We need this capability further down the stack.
Yes, I agree with Ted. Although it is nice already to allow ArcGIS Online administrators to have the capability to allow members in a group to update all items. But it would be even nicer and more practical in fact if a non-administrator can also create a group that allow their members within the group to update all items, such as adding/deleting layers on the same webmap without just saving another copy of the webmap, and allowing them to update item detail even if they're not the owner of the item as long as they're within this 'special' group.
Use case copied from duplicate idea: allow members to create and own collaboration group Currently only AGO admins are able to create and own a group that "allows members to update content" shared to the group. Please make it possible for regular AGO members to do this. Add an assignable privilege for custom roles that enable members to do this.
This idea was implemented in the March 2017 release. Members can now be assigned the privilege to create and own groups that allow members to update all items in the group, a privilege previously reserved for default administrators.
