Set feature symbology by right clicking on the feature in the map

It would save a great deal of time when changing colors in a map if a user could right click on the feature to get to the features symbology rather than looking up the label field value and finding it in the layer properties.

I think this would be a bad idea. One of the huge issues I have with AutoCAD is the user can simply change the color or symbol of something without moving it to the correct layer.
By simply changing a features symbol or color without specifically changing the attribute it is based on could or would destroy the integrity of your GIS.

This would be useful when you are using a colour ramp and you have100+ features, but ArcMap has drawn the five features in your AOI in different hues of purple and you need to distinguish the colours more than light purple, light-medium purple, medium purple, etc. It would not destroy the integrity of my data but make the map legible by changing 4 of the 5 purples to a green, blue, yellow, etc.
Currently, you have to identify the properties and then search the list to change the colour or you have to create a selection layer within the AOI.
