ArcGIS with ArcMap is currently able to view and join tables with MS Access tables and MS Excel tables (for both Worksheets and Named Ranges). Why is this useful feature gone in ArcGIS Pro? Please bring this needed feature back.
I have only just started getting familiar Pro and have not used it with my data yet, so had not come across this issue. Excel spreadsheets are a major source of some of our GIS data. If that cannot be brought in and joined in Pro, Pro will be useless for a quarter of my work.
I can join a feature class to an Excel sheet with Pro 2.1.2. Works fine.
Click on the layer in the TOC, then Feature Layer> Data > Joins in the ribbon. Or search for the GP tool under geoprocessing.
I join Excel and text files all the time also.
You can also open this dialog by right-clicking on the layer you want to join in the TOC and then selecting Joins and Relates just like in ArcMap.
