It would be very useful if the auto complete polygon editing template worked in Collector for ArcGIS as it does with Desktop and ArcGIS Online. Currently, if a feature service is published to ArcGIS Online with a feature editing template that has auto complete polygon as its default editing tool, the auto complete is honoured when capturing polygons in the map window. This is ignored when capturing features in Collector.

We use Collector for capturing vegetation communities which have shared borders and can't overlap. These features have complex boundaries which makes it difficult for field teams to capture polygons with cooincident boundaries. The polygons need to cleaned up post field work and typically contain 100s if not 1000s of tiny topological error which need to be corrected by GIS officers. Removing the step would save us considerable time and hassle.

Creating topologically correct data is one of the most basic requirements of GIS. With this functionality Collector would become a really excellent app for field data collection.
