Slides from my UX & UI Hub Workshop Visualizing Ideas with Wireframing at the 2016 Esri Developer Summit.

Description:

This one hour hands-on workshop provides an overview of the wireframing process. You will be introduced to the role wireframes play in creating user friendly products and gain hands-on experience organizing elements within an application interface.

This was a short workshop I ran during the 2016 Devsummit. Attached you'll find my slides and the materials for the workshop.

Description: Watching users try to accomplish tasks is the most effective and efficient way to uncover usability problems. In this one hour workshop learn how to conduct quick usability tests without having to set up an official lab. Walk away knowing how to facilitate sessions, develop test plans, analyze data, and present the findings.

Hi.

Have somebody create a Windows 10 High Contrast Theme with ESRI Inc graphic design guide?

The workshop was to introduce people the vital role that User Interface Design and User Experience Engineering play in creating great products. We illustrated how we work at Esri and best practices from the UI/UX world, but mostly we used active learning of these concepts by having participants create a fictional product through all stages (from conceptualization and needs assessment to delivery) using various concepts and techniques. Our goal was to have them leave feeling that (1) this was doable, (2), fun, (3) and something they will incorporate into their own professional lives. It was not about the PRODUCT we have at the end, this workshop was about the PROCESS for working together and solving problems.
