The 2018 contest winners have been named; however, I'd like to take a moment and recognize those from Esri who have contributed so much to our community. They have done a great job demonstrating the GeoNet Community Guiding Principles by "Being Helpful, Being Human and Being Smart" in their contributions. This list is only a portion of the many that you may see in the community; however, we are thankful for all of our staff as they help make GeoNet a better place.

This past year a lot of GeoNet members have earned points from participating in the community. A few of our members provided some great feedback on areas where we could improve. The feedback was reviewed to identify suggestions that would benefit the community as a whole.

The following point changes will be made effective January 1, 2016:

  1. Tagging your content is important, so the Tag, you're it mission will now be worth 5 points.
  2. Researcher will no longer be repeatable. Similar to other missions related to creating content you will only be able to earn it one time.
  3. The Helper mission will now be awarded when you receive 3 "helpful" ratings on your discussion responses.
  4. Providing a correct answer and earning the Valedictorian mission will now give you 250 points.
