What's New and What's Coming in Explorer for Windows (March 2019)

A new beta version of Explorer has been released on the Windows platform! This is the first public release of Explorer, which means you no longer need to be white-listed to view or download the app in the Microsoft store! You can find the link at the end of our survey here.

 

What's new in this version

  • Advanced popups (see attachments and related data)
  • Improved search (search for features within layers that have been configured for search)
  • Measure tool
  • Enterprise sign-in (Basic, Digest, IWA)
  • Navigate to search result on map
  • Markup layers shown in layers tool
  • Localization

  • A standalone installer for Explorer
  • Markup labels and notes
  • URL Scheme

Known issues

  • Can't sign-in with second IWA account without restarting the app
  • Definition query not honored when searching MMPK
  • Explorer does not resume previous downloads when the app is restarted
  • Navigating away from the map before identify completes causes the app to crash
  • Search tool results are cleared when changing to another tool
