Explorer Beta and the Microsoft Store

For this beta program, we will be using the Microsoft store to deploy the app. The first step is to ensure that you have a Microsoft account. If you don’t have one, you can get one

 here: https://account.microsoft.com/account. The next step is to make sure that you are logged in to the Microsoft store on your device with this account. This process can be a little tricky, so we thought it might be a good idea to write up some tips that may help you get unstuck.


The first step is to make sure you’re logged in as the right user. I know I’m sounding a little like Captain Obvious here, but the store allows you to be logged in as multiple users at once, which can lead to a bunch of confusion.


It is key to make sure that the email you gave Esri is associated with the Microsoft account you are logged in to the Microsoft Store with. To avoid any confusion, we recommend signing out of any other accounts and just being logged in as the user you provided to us after completing the survey. This will ensure that you can actually see the listing for Explorer Windows and download the app.
