Creating Place Announcements

As a place (space or group) administrator you have the ability to create announcements. These announcements show right under your space/group banner and navigation menu. There is also the ability to send the announcement to members/followers. Those that have their preferences set to receive emails for Inbox notifications will be emailed the group notification.

 

Create an announcement:

  1. From the space/group page click Manage Wheel > Announcements.

    1. Under Active Announcements click Add a new announcement.
    2. Complete the required information for the announcement:
      1. Announce a link option creates a hyperlink title (optional)
      2. Title (required)
      3. Include an image (optional)
      4. Description (optional)
      5. Begins/Expires (required)
      6. Send Inbox notifications (optional)
    3. Click Save to create the announcement.
