Presentation ABSTRACT: "Tribal Colleges have long embraced GIS as a complementary set of tools and methodologies to Native ways of learning and knowing. Given the rise of geo-awareness, geo-enablement, citizen science, web-enabled GIS, story maps, field data collection methods, and other technical and societal forces, how can the SCGIS community (1) ensure the growth of GIS programs in tribal colleges and universities, and (2) foster the use of spatial thinking and GIS into additional programs on tribal campuses, such as engineering, health, biology, and business?"
