ArcGIS Earth provides intuitive 3D experience for browsing a variety of spatial data and performing interactive 3D analysis for non-GIS specialists. While online, ArcGIS Earth connects directly to the ArcGIS platform allowing users to leverage the Web GIS pattern, securely accessing ArcGIS Online and or ArcGIS Enterprise. In offline or totally disconnected mode, ArcGIS Earth can access files, packages on a local machine including basemaps and terrain data.
ArcGIS Earth 1.10 release focused the story on KML editing, disconnected globe, and collaboration scenarios between the desktop and mobile:
- KML editing (Edit KML file, ground overlay, screen overlay, etc.)
- Work with mobile scene package in disconnected environment.
