Presenter's Biography:
Renardi is a Digital Engineer in Arup and has over 5 years of experience in the application of ESRI ArcGIS in the engineering industry. He is proficient in several languages, including Python, JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS, along with his experiences in engineering design and data strategy/management (FME, SQL, NoSQL).
Abstract:
Demands for visualisations of 3D data combined with design models have been increasing in our transport and highways projects to aid in the engineering design process. Point cloud scans, 3D modelling and BIM are also becoming common in our major engineering projects. This presentation looks at the integration of point cloud data and 3D design models using potree and three.js, with the data hosted on ArcGIS Server. Utilising these JavaScript libraries with GIS data and design models allows us to create accessible viewers through the web for all project staff to freely explore a single integrated 3D model.
