Hyperlinks in a web viewer. Our office recently got new windows 10 computers and can no longer use hyperlinks in a browser to local files such as asbuilt tif images or videos of sewer lines. Either the browser blocks the hyperlink for security or it wants to download an entire video before you can view it. It didn't used to be this way in…(Show moreShow less)
I am working on organizing and cleaning some lake bathymetry measurements. In my data sets, the lake boundaries were digitized, and the vertices of the boundaries were used as points where the depth value was zero. Those points were combined with the actual depth measurements, and a bathymetry surface was generated using Spatial…(Show moreShow less)

Do you have access to ArcGIS Online? If you do you could use the Enrich Layer tool in the analysis tools - this does consume ArcGIS Online credits so you need the correct user role/ privillages This should give you a result you are after.
I'm currently mapping parking spaces along city rights-of-way (mostly parallel parking). What I'm trying to do (if it's possible) is to draw a line along each roadway section, use the Construct Points tool to place points at 18' intervals, then somehow tell ArcMap, "draw a 9'x18' polygon centered on each point". I know there's a Fishnet function…(Show moreShow less)
Sounds complicate but is actually very easy. You have your point. Calculate the X,Y (decimal degrees) Manually draw a 9' x 18' rectangle and center it on the point. Generate points at each corner of the rectangle. Calculate the X,Y of each point. Give them names that will help you Xc,Yc (X Center, Y Center), Xne, Yne etc... Now…
I have a MXD where I first exported the map to a JPEG and clipped the output to the graphics extent. I then tried to export it as a PDF, and now it clips the image in the PDF to the just show the graphics like the JPEG and not show the title or anything I've recently added to the map. When exporting to PDF, I did not check the box to clip output…(Show moreShow less)
I have a GEBCO bathymetry dataset that has stretched symbology (1 - 6000m). I only want to display legend depths that are visible in the current extent, not the full range of values. This is works fine for classified images but not stretched. Any suggestions?
I have a county Contour Map that is not interactive. I went to Google Earth and created a point file and converted to a shape file, extracted a Contour map . Now what I need is to modify the contour lines in a specific area of the map, to show a cut and fill contour . I need this for an Erosion Permits. I have had several people try but they…(Show moreShow less)
Could you be more specific? What does "I went to Google Earth and created a point file and converted to a shape file, extracted a Contour map" mean? when you create a point file and convert to shapefile, what are the attributes? Why are you using Google Earth? Do you have ArcMap? If so, what version and what license level do you have?
