Battling spam as a community

GeoNet has been recently hit with a steady stream of spam content. Depending upon the places you follow you may not have even seen the spam because our global moderators have been proactive in removing the content and spam accounts. This behind the scenes team does an excellent job to keep the community clean and running smoothly as I could not do this on my own!


I want to make sure that our community understands that they are enabled with some of the same anti-spam tools that our moderators have. When you see spam content, you can "Report Abuse" directly from the content item.


When the dialog comes up, click "Report Abuse" to submit the content. If you would like to enter additional comments you may; however, it is not necessary. Once the abuse has been reported, our moderator team will receive the report and can act on it immediately to remove the content and ban the user.
